Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Last verse of the Responsorial Psalm yesterday (spoken) was "Teach me the demons of your statutes and I will keep them to the end" :?

This thread started some time ago with Jonah being called to go to Nivea - this morning in my church he was being called to go to Nirvana - not once but several times. Did he get there I wondered?

The passage mentions a 3 day journey. Methinks Buddhists would be very impressed!

For some reason last Sundays second reading, about fornication, was repeated this Sunday too.

From today's first reading:

Response to the psalm yesterday at a friend's (CofE) church appeared as:

This is what I heard during the Baruch reading at the Easter Vigil:

Learn where knowledge is, where strength, where understanding, and so learn where length of daisies, where life...

This was more down to the accent of the priest but, in one of the Triduum homilies, I swear that I heard him make reference to the Letter to the Fallopians.

Would you like to tell us about them, HP? If they don't belong on this thread they could surely fit under "Liturgical Tourism".

I am building up to doing so - I need a little time to give a measured account. Sufficient to say at the moment that it was not an overwhelmingly positive experience.
