SSG Annual Conference

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

I regretted missing the rehearsal and Mass. It would have been good to hear Peter's new settings. I set off from Sheffield at 9am but got stranded in the M1 closure which explains my late arrival at 1.45pm. For the same reason I left early but got caught again to the extent that I was too late to go to the wedding reception of one of my singers. Another guest spent 11 hours from London to Sheffield! The whole day was a washout for me ... late for SSg, no show at reception .. but I hear that the liturgy I wrote for the Church Action on Poverty AGM in Sheffield went down well ... think I'll develop this kind of virtual presence in the future.

The lunch was good ... and now presbyter informs us that there were doggy bags on offer! Woe is me.
