Rites of Scrutiny

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Rites of Scrutiny

Post by ChrisC »

I hope this isn't a double post - Mr Bear will no doubt tell me if it is!

What do various places do for the Rites of Scrutiny when they're celebrated on Sundays 3-5 of Lent? It might be interesting to have a little canter through the other parts of the RCIA as well.

We had our candidates at the front this last Sunday and prayed for. This seems to be the extent of the Rites of Scrutiny that we're doing this year. Last year we did the signing on forehead, eyes, ears etc.

Ours were presented with copies of the Creed and Lord's Prayer at the appropriate points of the Mass.
