The wickedness of face cream

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

It's that time of year again.

The music list for the Christmas Eve children's Mass that I have been asked to play for includes Angles we have heard on high and of course Away in a manager.

Just finished looking over a wedding booklet where the Mass setting to be used is the "New Celtic Lethargy".

Has anyone else heard a reference to Stow on the Wold at the end of EP3? It is just right for us in Clifton diocese, of course.

No, but that may be because my almost PP invariably says EP2 (the shortest) - and, as it happens, the longest Penitential Act. Does that say something? :?

And while I'm about it:

Does it include that well-known traditional song of praise, the "Tedium"? Maybe I should get my coat...

Actually, before I do it looks as if JW's wedding planners may have suffered from the Word spell-checker. Years ago, when I was editing a text on electrical safety it was forever trying to get me to change "earthing" to "Earthling". :)

I must confess that, many years ago, I produced an overhead slide for assembly with the words for a hymn. What I actually put up was, "You shall cross the barren dessert,"

More telling was that I was the ONLY member of staff that spotted the mistake!!!!

Someone recently read "the idol, Dagon" as "the idle dragon". Not Puff the Magic One then!

Spotted on amazon.co.uk: a learned book by Enrico Mazza - "The Theology of Liturgy in the Parasitic Age". Image

And when would that be? A special indulgence for the best answer.

I was showing an 8 Year old the *beep* memorial in Rochester Cathedral, which was funded by *beep*'s executors. " I didn't know *beep* was executed. "

Can't believe the system is bleeping our most famous novelist! Wow!!
