Songs of Praise from Leeds Cathedral

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Songs of Praise from Leeds Cathedral

Post by Chris »

Songs of Praise today came from Leeds Cathedral. The congregation was made up of 400 young singers from Catholic schools from Bradford, all part of the Diocese of Leeds Schools singing program. Also featured was the Bradford Youth Choir (http://www.bradfordyouthchoir.org) singing 'I am his child' by American composer Moses Hogan.

If you missed the programme, you can catch it on BBC Iplayer - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/categories ... y%3A100008

The Gloria is by Stuart Thompson, former Director of Music for the Diocese of Leeds. If you PM me I'm sure I can get you a copy.

Just to keep the "Liturgy and" part of the SSG description in the public eye ... I was very interested to see the item on "The Wednesday Word" for use within families in - relation to scripture study with young children. Currently material is available for school and home use. Parish section is under construction and will be launched on April 9th. Well worth a look ..... Catch those new readers young.
