'Twas the night before Christmas

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

'Twas the night before Christmas

Post by JW »

'Twas the night before Christmas
And in the Cathedral
The nave was jam-packed
Solid with people.

Up in the choir loft,
The adrenaline flowing
"Tonight we won't sound like
some cattle lowing."

Clarissa the organist
Peered over the rail
The structure gave way -
She disappeared with a wail.

The choristers sighed:
"No more Clarissa
Nevertheless,
I think we might miss her!

Nil desperandum,
Step forward Scar,
What a good job
He brought his guitar!

A guitar! In the Mass!
The church is imperilled
said a man in the pews
looking up from his Herald

Fear not said young Scar
for we've been here before
What we're doing now
worked well for Herr Mohr
