Holy Week the Lord's Passion

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Holy Week the Lord's Passion

Post by fisherpeter »

Just a thought for those preparing the Liturgy for Holy Week. I have just heard 'The PASSION of Our Lord JESUS CHRIST according to JOHN' — CD OCP — John's Passion with music by Christopher Walker for the people to join in, on Good Friday, or at another time.

Now this is not the place to advertise, but I can declare I have no pecuniary interest (to my regret) But the thought did occur to me that pastors and liturgy planners might like to give some thought to enlivening, in a spiritual way, the celebration of the Lord's Passion, and the Way of the Cross dring the season of Lent that is to come.

I have just received the CD of Walker's Passion. In it's published form, it cannot be used in England and Wales for the Liturgy of Good Friday as the text of the New American Bible is not approved for use here. :(
