christmas baptism?

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

christmas baptism?

Post by oopsorganist »

Hello all

What do you think of a plan to baptise a new baby during the Christmas Vigil Mass?

Is this a good idea? I'm not too sure if this is OK and can imagine a number of problems with putting the service and Liturgy together and meeting the families needs too.
uh oh!

Well don't go and put him/her in the crib after the baptism!

Can Midnight Mass ever be the same again after that lovely joke! It sounds like a recipe for disaster - baby up too late and yelling, family travelling near a holiday, above all losing the focus of what we are celebrating!
