Psalm 12th Sunday, year A

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Psalm 12th Sunday, year A

Post by pirate »

At the risk of an accident in the Salford area (see mcb, Glory to God topic, page 4), I must say that the setting of yesterday's psalm by Martin Barry (published by Decani Music) was wonderful! Even our organist, who is plainchant to her roots, made appreciative noises...

(Oh... urgh... er... oh dear. Someone fetch a mop.)

Thank you Pirate. Good to know that someone somewhere has sung it the once! (You're the first I've ever heard of apart from my own establishment.) I wrote it for the 'farewell' celebration for Archbishop Kelly when he departed for Liverpool. Vaguely inspired by Paul Inwood's Remember Your Mercy, but in a more cheerful frame of mind!
