"Rich in Mercy" - SSG workshop/study days

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

"Rich in Mercy" - SSG workshop/study days

Post by MaryR »

The Society of Saint Gregory has organised a series of workshop/study days to take place during Lent:

  • 20 February - St Nicholas, Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield - Speaker, Fr Allen Morris
  • 27 February - St John's Cathedral, Salford - Speaker, Bishop John Arnold
  • 12 March - St Augustine's, Hammersmith - Speaker, Canon Stuart Wilson
Each day will include talks, reflections, workshops and prayer. There will be a particular focus on the message of Pope Francis for this extraordinary Jubilee Year. He tells us that “in Him there is mercy and not condemnation.” We are encouraged to ‘Be merciful, as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36 All are welcome, whether members or not, particularly anyone involved in parish ministry, or wishing to reflect on what the Jubilee Year means for parishes. Many of the workshops are practical - for readers, singers and musicians - and will help with Holy Week preparation.

The cost is £10 per person to include lunch. You can book online or by post. Places should be booked no later than 7 days before the event to assist with catering.

More information on the workshops for each event and/or booking information is available here, or PM me.
