Winter Assembly 2015 and Summer School 2016

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

The Word that is Life - Summer School 2015
With music still ringing in our ears from the past week it is good to celebrate SSG Summer School 2015.
It was a great experience when we gathered at High Leigh; the centre staff could not have done more to make us welcome and meet all our needs. Tom Whelan CSsP, a Spiritan priest from Dublin, was inspiring, humorous, informative, easy to follow and encouraging us to mission as he talked to us about the Word. Stephen Dean brought the Word to life through a wide range of music that was prayerful, engaging, and opened people up to new possibilities.
The liturgy throughout the day and throughout the week helped us truly engage with the Word who is Christ. An array of workshops supplemented this with rich fare, and the traditional concert was a real extravaganza of the best of SSG’s talent.
There could be no better recommendation for coming to Summer School 2016 (3-6 August) than the experience we have just had in 2015. We look forward to seeing you then next year, and before that, at the Winter Assembly and AGM in Oxford on 6/7 November, 2015.
Put the dates in your diaries now! They are too good to miss.
God Bless
Kevin McGinnell
Chair of SSG

NB the Summer School next year returns to Belsey Bridge but runs from Wednesday to Saturday. An interesting change of schedule.
