Just take the money and run.
Around these parts music for weddings and funerals are decided between the clergy and the customers.
Having no input makes one pretty philosophical - nice fee for two hymns? That'll do.

Managing expectations is always tricky. I wouldn't worry about the fee. I think us musicians shouldn't feel guilty about these things. How often does Father waive his stole fee for a wedding?
