Bizarre combination of text and music

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Bizarre combination of text and music

Post by Southern Comfort » Sat Sep 13, 2014 7:57 pm

Sitting here watching the Last Night of the Proms, and wondering whose insane idea it was to combine (rather badly) the words of the Latin Sanctus with Elgar's "Nimrod" variation (sung by Katherine Jenkins in Glasgow)....

And now someone called Rufus Wainwright is singing a song with bits of Ravel's Bolero in the backing. Ah, well.
