Young singers in Liverpool

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Young singers in Liverpool

Post by Merseysider »

Not sure if this is out of place but...

Still trying to pull together my new youth choir.

If anyone knows any youngsters (secondary school age) in North Liverpool who might be interested in giving us a go then please give them the info.

The SAS (St Anthony's Singers) is a new choir for young people based at St Anthony's Church, Scotland Road, Liverpool.

Rehearsals are taking place at St Anthony’s Church, Scotland Road, every Tuesday afternoon during the summer holidays and the SAS will begin singing at services in September.

We'll be singing everything from plainsong to pop (although the initial group seem to prefer the former).

All youngsters of secondary school age are welcome to join. The only qualification is a willingness to give it a go.

The SAS’s first major engagement is on September 29th when they will join with the choir from Our Lady Immaculate, Everton, and with musicians from parishes all over Liverpool to lead the singing at St Anthony’s 200th anniversary celebrations.

For further details about the St Anthony’s Singers, phone Nick on 07947-695621 or contact Catherine or Debbie at the parish office on 0151-207 0177 (during office hours).
