The hymn "O God of every shining constellation" has had a few airings on Songs of Praise of late. The Tune "Lucy" is a cracker.
What do we know of it? I've not seen it in any hymnals.

The tune is OK up to the rising chromatic - thats a wee bit too 1920's for me.

It's somewhere between Geoffrey Beaumont and John Rutter. Paul's a fine musician and a very nice guy – he's served Songs of Praise well over the years. In this version there's a brief glimpse of him conducting: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00k5y7t
