I have no reason to doubt Southern Comfort who played it under the composer's direction but surely it was pretty sloppy of the production team to let it through?

Re: Contacting OCP
Yep, B, that is the chord. I played through it tonight (with a singer) I still think the G7 sounds better....
Does anyone here use it?

Re: Contacting OCP
OCP has not got back to me so I wonder if I might get some help from this forum. At the SSG summer school Martin Foster introduced a piece by Oosterhuis and Oomen, For Peace . I was taken with this piece (I have always been fond of the Dutch school of contemporary catholic composers) and when I got ...

Contacting OCP
I have noticed a discprepancy between the printed version of a piece published by OCP and the recorded version on the CD. The recorded version makes more musical sense so I suspect the score contains a misprint. But I cannot find any way of contacting OCP to alert them to this. Any suggestions? Than...

I got a copy of the CD and book at summer school - lots of good material therein. If I needed to use some how would I go about reproducing stuff as I understand that only a few copies remain? Is is covered by Calumnus or similar?

It was a great week! Many thanks to all who preprared and led the week. It was inspirational, an affirmation of what we try to do and an imperative to try to do more.
Thank you very much everybody. The Lord be with you - and with your spirits!

Re: Matt Maher's Kyrie
I was discussing this just today with one of our priests. I am fortunate enough to run a 4-part choir and over many years we have acquired a lot of different setting of the Mass (from both Catholic and other resoucres). Our repetoire (including latin plainchant and polyphony and English unison and 2...

Re: Matt Maher's Kyrie
No, this is just self-indulgent liturgical and musical ephemera. Apart from,as has been noted, the confusion of the destination of the petitions, the musical content is weak, serving only as far as I can tell to highlight the cantor's questionable ability to deliver the sense of the Kyrie. Anodyne i...

Re: Nothing to do with liturgy but huge fun
Well liturgy, like theology (so I was told of the latter at university) should be serious but not solemn. I'm not sure though if it should be fun as such. Perhaps enjoyable, uplifting, exciting even.... fun suggests a flippancy I woulod rather not attach to worship. Boring old fogey signing off! M

Re: Be still for the presence of the Lord
It was reviewed in Laudate, the journal of the Guild of Church Musicians. I happen to know Barry Williams, a director of Organist Publications. If you contact him via the OP website he will give you further details.
