Re: O Magnum Mysterium

Some lovely person has posted piles of polyphony on You Tube with a moving landscape score so you can sing along. For example, Byrd's Ave Verum: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KBYLNbKoP ... re=related (Still can't work out how to do links on here!)

Re: Music for weddings

Loathsome depressing events. I was invited to a Civil Partnership in ...

Re: Too clever for our (their) own good

will my music degree and thirty years of practical parish experience disqualify me? I'm seriously *beep* off as I've just finished an MMus with a dissertation on form and function of music in the post-concilliar liturgy. Must have got it all wrong. Well, his words do seem to admit of only one inter...

I knew about this several months ago.
How did I find out?

I sit humbly corrected – although I suspect we'll still do it from the Paschal Candle where the PP sings it almost from memory.

Re: presentation book for psalmists

Both my missals mention a lectern or a pulpit.
I thought the ambo was reserved for the Word.
Have we been getting it wrong all these years?

What would you do if next Sunday's reader happens to sit with his family on the opposite side of the church from the ambo?
