A rather delightful Kyrie and Agnus Dei

Fraternal greetings,
I wonder does anyone recognise the Mass setting from which the Kyrie (commencing at 5:48) and the Agnus Dei (commencing at 53:37) are taken?

Quite delicious.
Thanks everyone,

Re: Unity with Liturgical Diversity

I often attend an Ordinariate Celebration of Holy Mass in Rogerstone, South-East Wales. Mass is celebrated with dignity and reverence. The music is typically Anglican - no bad thing. The Mass setting is poor, sounding like it's been cobbled together by a committee. A very capable organist plays regu...

Re: SSG Communications - what the heck is going on?

Far more disturbing, a recent tweet about Readers (Lectors) links to a piece on the New Liturgical Movement website by Peter Kwasniewski which references a practice at St Thomas Aquinas College, California, where only vested altar servers are allowed to do the readings. Is the SSG thereby endorsing...

O God of every shining constellation

The hymn "O God of every shining constellation" has had a few airings on Songs of Praise of late. The Tune "Lucy" is a cracker.
What do we know of it? I've not seen it in any hymnals.

Re: St Anne's Leeds Midnight Mass

The same setting was used when Midnight Mass was broadcast from Arundel Cathedral two to three years back.

Re: Proms

By the way, did anyone else hear the Red Army choir singing 'It's a long way to Tipperary' on Radio 3 this morning?
Yes. It was delightful. 8)

"I enjoyed that"
Just a thought; would en-joy-ment be the subjective experience of Joy, a fruit of the Spirit? In which case I guess that it's no bad thing to feel it.

Everybody run.

Re: Offertory hymns

"Angel voices ever singing round Thy throne of light"; now there's a cracker of a hymn for the Prep of the Gifts.
