The problem with eulogies during the Requiem Masses/funeral services is that they simply don't fit. Punters in the pews feel that thay must stifle their laughter at the funny bits. The wake is the place for eulogising. Just a thought.

I love the new translation (or the old translation if you're a 1970s convert from the Church in Wales). It has its flaws of course, any translation will.
