I had the same experience at a Mass in English that I attended in Malta a few weeks ago; really made one think about what you were saying though. (Sat wondering whether I should 'dob them in' to Rome?)

JW, according to my 'Complete Responsorial Psalter' it is an alternative psalm for use on The Holy Family Yr C

It is the norm here too to take a second collection for the development fund if there is no diocesan one and has been for years; the collection is taken during the post communion hymn

1.The person who currently runs church choir practices is a volunteer helper with the school choir in school and will lead the singing at school Masses in church when an organist is not available. The school choir is invited to sing at celebration Masses in the parish i.e. inductions, anniversaries ...
