Obviously the Holy Spirit is female.
Jesus is male we are fairly sure.
And God is always the Father figure.
Therefore.
The Spirit must be female!
Or what happens to concepts of justice. (Never mind fairness and equality).

That is a lot of Lay Clerks .
They get around £63.00 a service. That's not bad.

Re: SSG Communications - what the heck is going on?
I agree that some traditionalist web sites do seem to be trying to undo what Vatican 2 brought about, but most seem to be trying to undo things which happened after the council, but were not mandated by it. But surely, if things are happening after Vatican 2 that were not mandated by Vatican 2 - th...

Re: SSG Communications - what the heck is going on?
Would that be a term for those who defy and deny Vatican 2 - or a term for people that preserve and respect history and heritage? Depends what you mean by traditionalist or what you think others mean by traditionalist. And a capital letter for the /t/ has an impact too.

Re: The Best Narthex in Christendom
That is a proper Narthex then. A bit at the back of the church - just did a Wiki search for the word! It used to be the place for penitents etc etc .
But a porch is what I suffered from. A porch should be a clear passage.

Re: The Best Narthex in Christendom
Does the level of demand require more than one? You could have a couple of huge ones bolted to a bench in the church, or something like an abacus, and that would do the trick. Oh we had such a marvellous narthex. Well I guess it was a porch. It had been a big room, a baptistry at one point with huge...

Re: The Best Narthex in Christendom
Put all the papers in a file (bin bag) and have a nice bunch of flowers on table with a sign that says Welcome to our parish. Or a candle. Or maybe a small fountain. A bible. Have a human being whose job is to welcome people and direct them to any information they need. Any information. Get them a b...

Re: SSG Communications - what the heck is going on?
Yes I had that problem or a similar one. I thought I was banned for complaining about the biscuits! I forget how I got round it. But it has left me with a password so long and strange .... and there does not seem a way to change your password. This is not the biggest problem in the world but it is a...

Re: SSG Communications - what the heck is going on?
I just wonder - since I don't do Twitter and hardly know what it is- only that it is dangerous in the hands of an idiot ( thinking of one in particular) - if the SSG could in fact be quoted as an organisation that supports any extreme views in Liturgy, by somehow referencing the Twitter thing. It be...

Some people communicate via Facebook..... I just complained about the ivy and brambles in a local CofE graveyard and (that sounds so weird) and got a message straight back. You can set up a group on Facebook.
