You are, indeed, correct.

Moral of this story: proof read carefully!

Thankfully it's not yet been printed!!

Re: Service of rededication/commission of musicians, etc

Hello everyone.

For those who were interested, this is what we ended up with; the pamphlet is designed to be folded twice.

The lady who did most of the work on this is happy for you to make use of it should you wish.

Re: Service of rededication/commission of musicians, etc

Hello again. This is the first draft. Any comments or observations? Celebrant: God of Glory, Your beloved Son has shown us that true worship comes from humble and contrite hearts. Bless our brothers and sisters, who have responded to the needs of our parish in offering to commit themselves to Your s...

Re: Service of rededication/commission of musicians, etc

Thank you for all the suggestions so far.

We have a parishioner who has the gift of being able to compose beautiful Prayers of Intercession. She is going to work on something, perhaps along the lines of questions and response similar to those during a wedding service.

But actually, that's not what our great Church is about. We are about giving people freedom to worship God ...

Re: Liturgical Tourism

Several years ago our family was holidaying in County Kerry, Ireland. The music for the Mass was being provided by a small group of young people (~16-22). During the Communion Procession they played some reflective music which, at first, I thought was lovely. Then I recognised the music; it was the ...

Re: Hymns that conflict with Catholic doctrine.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Well, on 20th September in our little parish, we most certainly will be using the original words.
