New Testament Canticles
These texts are all used in Evening Prayer. The canticle from Philippians is familiar from the Sunday Lectionary. The canticles from Revelation would make suitable Entrance songs for the Easter Season. The psalms are the core sung texts of the liturgy: the Responsorial Psalm and the Liturgy of the H...

Gospel Canticles
The Gospel Canticles are integral to the Liturgy of the Hours. The themes of the Magnificat and the Beatitudes are often echoed in the Sunday Lectionary. The Benedictus can be seen as a core text for the Season of Advent. ⋅ Benedictus (Luke 1: 68-79) Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel!...

Core Repertoire
In each of music resources for the Seasons of At Your Word Lord , a number of key pieces have been recognised as core repertoire for a parish's repertoire. hell and damnation
hell is now allowed - I had missed this on the original censored word list (sorry folks). The list is not exhaustive, by the way, and given a reason words can be added or removed easily. So, if you feel that somehting should or should not be allowed, let me know - you'll have to use e-mail to do so,...

polls
Therein lies the problem - whilst an initial list could be posted as part of the forum, it would be a fixed list and this forum software cannot allow others to add to the list for the poll. The poll with extensible list would have to be something I coded myself - not too difficult to do - but it wou...

Hymns/Songs/Litanies/Lists
Could the Society provide a list of appropriate hymns and songs, and a place where the membership can vote for them? This is technically possible to do, but probably not within this forum. I think it better to allow you to type your own list in - I'm certainly not volunteering to enter 900 entries ...

Just because people have not replied to SOP doesn't mean that the 26 who have read the thread to date have not enjoyed them and laughed... It's been a quiet week on all threads here this week... though there've been one or two new contributors... perhaps the silence has something to do with Half Ter...
