I don't think you can ensure that a Liturgy Committee is freely embracing God's will and not peddling their own agenda (is the plural agendae? I suppose that depends on whether you think agenda comes from the gerundive of agere and so is the plural of agendum, or if you think it is a feminine singul...

But you could argue that all the way down the line - If Mary (and Joseph) had not agreed to collaborate, then we'd not have had the incarnation in the first place... If Adam hadn't eaten the apple, we'd not have needed an incarnation... [BTW, God was a pretty poor parent - you never tell your child ...

Has anyone read the Liturgy Office document yet? I sent my comments back ages ago, before the CG decided to send a joint submission.
