fits it even more snuggly. I promise I never will though, not even for munny.

I'm always saddened when there exists a perception of two opposing forces, organ versus others. We are surely ministers with a vocation to serve God and our fellow worshippers through music and prayer. I suspect we need to look at ministry and at preparation before we even thing of putting finger to...

Thanks Benevenio. There's that delightful version in the anglican church's Cathedral Psalter where it speaks in psalm 104 (103) verse 26: There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein. Delicious eh? I love the 10 10 11 11 metrical arrangement at m in fact that whol...

Responsorial psalm for Pentecost Sunday
The few verses of Psalm 104(103) set as the repsonsorial psalm for pentecost seem a bit thin when you consider the whole. I'd love to use the whole (or at least most) of this psalm maybe as an entrance song on Pentecost Sunday. Is this permissable? (and if it is, what would I then use as a responsor...

Depends on the qualitiy of the improvisation doesn't it? A skilled, sensitive improvisation can be delighfully meditative while some pre-written voluntaries completely miss the mark liturgically.

What to do with potentially publishable music
Hi all, I have a setting of Exodus 15 (canticle after the third Old Testament reading of the Easter Vigil) which I composed a few years ago for our own parish SATB choir's use. Yearly I'm asked by visitors to the parish for a copy or wanting to know where it's published. If I were to offer it for pu...

Blaenwern
Love Divine is a bit unusual as singing it to Blaenwern involves pairing up the verses
Or "Blind Worm" as it's known locally.

Comments you'll never hear in church :-)
1. Hey! It's my turn to sit in the front pew. 2. I was so enthralled, I never noticed that the sermon went on for 35 minutes. 3. I've decided to give our church the £35 a month I used to spend on Sky Digital TV. 4. Forget the denominational minimum salary, let's pay our parish priest so he can live...
