Hello
Can anyone in cyber space explain what a common psalm is? And why are they used?
Thanks

Edinburgh
Hey
Was any one else there on Saturday!
It was a wonderful day but I am just squashed flat now especially my feet.
And I have missed Mass at my church today but I am sure they did fine.

Sorry Think it may be me mixing up the threads. Just got over excited by hearing others with similar problems and issues of the old and new repertoire. Not very reasoned debate. Sos. Will definitely come to next year's summer school. but am already booked this year for a hol. in Devon. Anything else...

Just a quick (long) reply to Sid (cannot find his/her post about fluff, may have got the wrong thread) About old V. new music. It's very hard to find out what is new music. dear Crumhorn My heart goes out to you, for we are in similar but not same battle. When I first read your post i thought you were t'other side of our battle on line and i had a little panic attack of my own. We have probs over choice of music (control battle i think) about power really isn't it? Per...

Mass setting by Gordon Rock/other Masses
Thanks to all for your encouragement. I'm thinking about what to do to make the music better. We sing the mass on Sunday from the HON; the American Mass or the Israeli Mass and the Our Father are known but we only know the Clapping Gloria in the Celebration H. for All (which was introduced through o...

I have not had time to read all posts although many so far have helped. Where were you when I needed you ?- at Easter I had major stress (which I don't need at church, I can get than at work quite easily) - and still have music in a mess in my parish. I am organist at small poor parish and also lead...

And can you include "Praise My Soul the King of Heaven" with an arrangement which only needs the two hands please?
