Re: "Thou shalt sing at Mass"

Re: Liturgical Tourism

Missal gloria also worked very well in St Petersburg this Sunday.
Quite impressive choir - unaccompanied, perhaps because of Orthodox tradition, apart from single tambourine used (lightly) to indicate pace and rhythm.

Re: Proclaim 15

There is however a hope (expectation?) that each parish in England and Wales will have a prayer service on the evening of Saturday July 11th to pray for the success of this initiative.
Those who have not been engaged hitherto might like to visit the website referenced above, ie http://www.catholicnews.org.uk/proclaim15

Re: School Masses

So glad that SC wrote 'Allen are the pits', rather than 'Allen is the pits'. Both may be true, of course: who am I to judge? One of the challenges with singing the responsorial psalm in a school setting may be that there is not time/opportunity to properly prepare ministers for a new psalm for each ...

I was one of the editors 'a few weeks ago' and have just checked my emails and find no record of receiving your email... However, now presented in a different forum, I'...

I suspect it was St John Southworth.
St Robert Southwell, now that would have been exceptional. I think we don't make enough of him.

Preparing the Liturgy

The pages of Preparing the Liturgy have been extracted and are now accessible from the front page of the SSG website, or from here: http://www.ssg.org.uk/images/p...
