French missal

Hi Folks
Long time since my last posting...
I am looking for an equivalent to the well known Collins Sunday missal in French - where can one source a copy?
I've looked on amazon but nothing is showing except a very expensive one.
Hope to hear from someone

I'm back in the loop

My SSG membership had lapsed this past year. I renewed recently and it is with great joy that I received two journals at my new postal address today! I am very humbled (and chuffed) to note that my Psalm book is listed among a few recommended publications for the psalms (Sing a new Psalm!) Can I say...

Re: Comparing the meerkat - the digital experience!

No - Wyvern and Viscount are not related. Wyvern and Content are... the MPS series of Wyvern are rebranded Content (with 'different' sampling... let you ears decide that one!!!) to add to that... Makin, Johannus (and the recently acquired Copeman_Hart) are the one group - just google makin and peek ...

Missing Psalm

Hi Folks Just a little something you may or may not wish to avail of... In my psalm book it have been observed that I omitted a psalm for the day mass of John the baptist. The vigil mass is in the book. I attempted to attach a PDF here but I got "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reach...

Re: The 'Twelfth of never'...

The Phoenix is in good health! None of the other 'ailments' mentioned apparent! No further discussion about brands! I'm still very happy nearly three year on. The Hohl Flute is not shy on the Great and the Twelfth is a gentle lady! (it needs to be, as I also have a sesquialtera (12.17) also availabl...

The 'Twelfth of never'...

Hi Folks... Beat this... This morning at mass I was playing the popular 'Eat this bread' hymn - I played through initially on Swell Oboe solo accompanied by a nice choir 8' flute and Vox Angelica... Then cantor sang it twice... I finished off by playing it again with the great Hohl flute 8' and Twel...

Re: hymn tune

Thanks to all for replies. We avoided the boom box! Funeral undertakers advised family to play the song (CD) at the crematorium. I could have transcribed the music but, then to fit it to the English words... goodness... How many extra hours is one expected to work for services (usually gratis)... an...

Psalm Books - any uptake?

Hi Folks In all this banter of new settings etc... yes, I am waiting in the sidelines like many others (I assume) for approval - some are approved but not in the public arena as yet. Remember my psalm books? As these setting are likely to remain for a while yet, I have several boxes of them (10 boxe...

oft in the stilly night...???

Hi all, Belated New Year greetings! a small request... Does anyone have an alternative (liturgical) text to the well-known song 'Oft in the stilly night'? I'm sure I've crossed paths with such at a funeral somewhere along the line. One of my parishioners recently asked me if I knew of a 'hymn' versi...

Re: Dumbfounded and Disillusioned

(Credo - not confiteor - I'm sure you all realised) As for becoming protestants... in my dear city and immediate surrounding county... two notable organs have be built/rebuilt... The Anglican Cathedral (St Finbarres) - work in progress - €1.2 Million... plus a small seaside town - a new Henk Van Eek...
