Spring Gatherings 2017

Sing to the Lord!
Following the success of the events held in the Jubilee Year of Divine Mercy, the Society of Saint Gregory will once again be holding a series of spring gatherings with workshops, talks and liturgies.
As 2017 is the 50th Anniversary of Musicam Sacram, there will be a particular focus on music at this year’s gatherings.  All are welcome, whether members or not, particularly anyone involved in parish music ministry: singers, musicians, cantors and choir leaders.

The day will begin with registration at 10.00 am and Morning Prayer at 10.30.  Our speaker will look at how parish music has evolved in the 50 years since Musicam Sacram and there will be a sing through session of mass settings and other resources for parishes.  The workshops will take place during the afternoon followed by liturgy preparation to look at the music for Evening Prayer which will be at 3.30 pm.

The cost is £10 per person (bring your own packed lunch). You can book online by clicking here or if you prefer you can print out a booking form and post it to us.  Further information is available by emailing Mary Rouse.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the day far exceeded any expectations. It was an excellent balance of workshops, liturgies and talks – all very informative.
